The 747-8 is one step closer to going into production after Boeing successfully completed a swing of the landing gears. The RC501 model has also been lifted.
Though not nearly as innovative or fuel-efficient as the carbon-composite Dreamliner, the 747-8 is sharing technology with the 787. Both are being assembled at the same Boeing complex in Everett, Washington.
Today, Boeing have announced that their 747-8 Freighter program is suffering further delays as production costs have gone North due to design issues.
